This specialized UV-C chamber (see research paper and design details) aims to decontaminate N95 masks in just 60 seconds, allowing clinicians to clean their mask in the same time it takes them to remove their cap, gown, gloves, and do washup – thus providing critically-needed decontamination without slowing down clinicians. This product is headed to market and is especially useful for small to medium-sized hospitals that don’t have the specialized facilities and staffing to run a centralized decontamination system.
