Chocolate Medallions

Delighted audience watches process for producing Chocolate Medallions

The love of liquid Nitrogen

This performative piece was created for a special event. Properly tempered chocolate from a local chocolatier was poured into custom molds which were then dipped into liquid nitrogen to rapidly cool the chocolate.

Attendees enjoyed the epicurean display and took home the commemorative chocolate medallions produced in the process.

My role in all of this

The concept of science-as-performance has always interested me. In much the same way, I have always held a certain regard for things made out of chocolate.
